Format

2v2. Each team has two players, both playing the base game on the same board. Once a team claims a square, the other team can’t.

First to 13 points. A team scores a point per square plus two per completed row, column or diagonal, and a line alone doesn’t win: the first team to 13 points does.

Round robin. Each team plays every other team once, in a single game. Teams are ranked by their points over the round robin, and the top three go on to the playoffs.

Playoffs. Best of three, every game also first to 13 points. 2nd plays 3rd in the semi-final, and the winner plays 1st in the final.
